amSTERDam

Amsterdam is the Netherlands' capital, known for its artistic heritage , elaborate canals and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city's 17th Century Golden Age.
The museum area houses works by Rembrant and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum and modern art at the Stedelijk.

Once again , like Copenhagen and Norway, cycling is key to this city's characrter and there are 400km of cycle paths.

We flew SAS from Alesund Norway to Amsterdam, arriving at 6:30pm ( 4hr flight ). Caught a taxi ( easy and reasonbly cheap in Amsterdam ) straight to our B&B accomodation in Govert Flinckstraat, near to the famous Albertcuyp Market.
